Below are the latest results for the First Quarter 2018 test of Disinfection Byproducts for the Village of Whitehouse.
First Quarter Tests are in the favorable range at all test locations, but the Village is required to report the Running Annual Average which is 81.4 ug/L.
The Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) has been established as 80 ug/L.
*all values are ug/L
We are confident that with continued weekly flushing of hydrants in the distribution system to keep water fresh, that these numbers will remain below the MCL for the coming quarters.
The Village has contracted with Poggemeyer Design Group of Bowling Green, Ohio to draft engineering specifications for a water tower mixing/aeration system to facilitate the release of trihalomethanes (THMs) in the water towers and reduce the formation or growth of THMs in the distribution system. The Village’s permanent solution for a THM removal system should be installed and operational by November 2018.
