“Make Your Own Rain Barrel Workshop”. As part of the Lucas County Rain Garden Initiative, the Lucas Soil & Water Conservation District will lead this make-and-take rain barrel workshop. Each participant will make and take home a 55-gallon rain barrel with parts provided by the LSWCD. Cost per attendee is $35 and includes the barrel, mosquito screen, brass faucet, and plastic overflow hose.
The class will be held at the Whitehouse Service Department, 11295 Waterville Street. Advance registration is required by calling Jessica Wilbarger, LSWCD Natural Resources Specialist, at 419-377-0065.
