Upcoming Enrichment Classes

The Village of Whitehouse is happy to announce a partnership with Metroparks Toledo for monthly Enrichment Classes in 2017. A wide variety of topics have been scheduled for the upcoming months.  All classes are free and open to the public and will be held at Whitehouse Village Hall, 6925 Providence Street.

January 30, 6:30 -8 pm: Winter Starlight Hike.  Bundle up for an exploration of winter constellations and night sky interpretation.  If it’s cloudy, we will share other night-time natural phenomena.

February 27, 6:30 – 8 pm: Try It: Twilight into Night Snow Shoeing.   Let Metroparks Outdoor Skills experts help you get excited about nature in winter! Snow shoes provided. Hike will be led on foot if snow is scarce.

March 27, 6:30 – 8 pm. Frogs and Salamanders of Northwest Ohio.  It’s mating time for local amphibians!  Find out which ones make Whitehouse and the surrounding areas their homes at this indoor presentation.

April 24, 6:30 – 8 pm. Spring Wildflower Identification and Lore. A parade of blooms will carpet area woodlands in the coming weeks. This indoor presentation will highlight some of the common ones and when and where to look for them.

Classes are free, but advance registration is required by calling 419-877-5383 to ensure a comfortable meeting space and to have handouts prepared. Classes are held at Whitehouse Village Hall, 6925 Providence Street.
