Whitehouse is currently seeking a new member for the Whitehouse Tree Commission.

There is a once-a-month meeting commitment, which typically takes place on the evening of the fourth Thursday at Whitehouse Village Hall.

The Whitehouse Tree Commission responds to Village Council in regards to any special matters or questions regarding street and park trees, is responsible for recommending which species and varieties are to be planted, maintains an inventory for street trees and formulates a street tree planting design for the care of both current and future trees, as well as coordinates Arbor Day observances and celebrations.
