December 7 – Whitehouse Holiday Celebration!

The celebration will soon be underway and we are VERY excited.

• Santa will be available for visits and photos at the Village Park Shelter House from 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM, and then again after the parade from 6:45 PM – 7:30 PM.

• From 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM kids can participate in crafts at Whitehouse Businesses. Be sure to grab a Craft Passport! If they complete four or more crafts and return their passport to the Village Park Pavilion before the Tree Lighting (Immediately following the Parade Down Providence Street at 6:00 PM), they will be entered into a drawing to win prizes, including a new kid’s bike from CycleWerks!

Passports, craft bags and maps will be available under the Village Park Pavilion. Businesses will also have a limited number of passports.

• The Whitehouse Maintenance Department will have their machinery on display in an attempt to FILL THE FRONT LOADER with toys for the Whitehouse Holiday Cheer Toy Drive Competition against the Whitehouse Police Department and the Whitehouse Fire Department – if you are interested in donating a new, unwrapped toy please consider bringing one to the celebration to help FILL THE FRONT LOADER.

• Hot Chocolate at Generals Ice Cream.

• Run Toledo’s Christmas Village 5K is at 4:30 PM, Kid’s Reindeer Dash is at 5:30 PM. You can register here!

• The parade will start at 6:00 PM at the Log Cabin and will travel south on Providence Street, ending at Village Park.

• Immediately following the parade, we will have the Annual Whitehouse Tree Lighting and do the craft passport prize drawings!

Parking on December 7

Parking will be available on Providence in the downtown area but will be VERY limited. The map above details additional parking areas for the Whitehouse Holiday Celebration. Please note: St. Louis Ave will be temporarily closed for the beginning of the Christmas Village 5K at 4:30 PM, and the parade will cause the Downtown portion of Providence Street to be closed from approximately 6:00 PM – 6:30 PM.

In the lot off of John Fronk Way – (Behind Whitehouse Inn – 10835 Waterville Street)

Next to the Whitehouse Library – 10651 Waterville Street

In the areas off of Gilead Street

Along Indianapolis Avenue (Western side, South of Longnecker Street)

Along St. Louis Avenue (Northern side, adjacent to the Wabash Cannonball Trail)

In the lots off of Toledo Avenue

In the parking areas next to Veterans Memorial Park – 6710 Providence Street

Overflow parking will be available at Blue Creek Metropark near the Nona France Quarry until approximately 8:30 PM.

Remember that the Christmas Village 5K & Reindeer Dash Kids Run will be taking place, so please keep an eye out for runners!
