September 5, 2018This event has been rescheduled due to stormy weather on the original date!
The Whitehouse Police Department and Cycle Werks bike shop will host a Free Bike Rodeo and Safety Check on Saturday, September 22, 2018, from 9:00 am to 12 noon. Participants can sign up at Cycle Werks anytime between 9 and 12 that morning. Pre-registration is not required, just show up and join the fun.
This event will include a bike helmet safety check and a mechanic from Cycle Werks will look over each bike. Children will also be taught proper safety in crossing the street while riding, and have the opportunity to participate in different types of maneuverability courses. Each bike will also be registered and licensed with Whitehouse which helps officers locate the owner if a bike is lost or stolen.
After completing the course and safety checks, each child will be given a FREE bicycle bell, compliments of Cycle Werks!
This event is held in conjunction with the Whitehouse Farmers Market from 9-12 noon and the Shred Day from 10 – 12 noon. Parents can shop the market for fresh produce, fresh cut flowers, jewelry, lawn art, and other unique items, while children participate in the Bike Rodeo.
